Forum On Marketplace Ministry

Reshaping a Region
See how Hong Kong has flourished over time into a regional financial and transportation hub for all of Asia and explore how social, spiritual, economic and education leaders are impacting society.

Explore their Growth
Hong Kong has seen tremendous growth in its factories that have been established across the border in Shenzhen. Explore this small farming community that has seen exponential growth over the last 35 years, becoming a place where hundreds of thousands of Chinese migrant workers have come to work in factories to export to the world.

A Unique Agreement
In 1997, Hong Kong became the Special Administrative Region (SAR) of the People’s Republic of China. Learn how under its “one country, two systems” formula, China’s socialist economic system would not be imposed on Hong Kong and that Hong Kong would enjoy a “high degree of autonomy” in all matters except foreign and defense affairs for the subsequent 50 years.
